The icy rain plummeted down from the skies, engulfing the small town named Wale. It was not an unexpected storm however, for many such storms had been occurring lately. Somewhere within that town, a traveler sauntered in to the town’s bar where what was once a place of merry-making degraded to a desolate gloomy shack with the occasional handful of people.
“Is anybody in? Or has this place lost all its merriment already?” the traveler rumbled in a deep cheerful voice.
“I see you’re back at last Jack.” replied the bartender in a solemn voice.
“Nay, I came back because I wanted to see…what happened to this place during my years of traveling but it looks like all those rumours were true. Wale the town of merry has gone to the pits. Just what is happening to this forsaken town anyway? Weren’t the Angels supposed to prevent this?”
“Oh they did, it have been a lot worse if not for them. But somethin’s wrong and been happening lately Jack, I can feel it in my bones. You know I’ve always been right since we were kids.”
But those words were fallen on deaf ears for Jack who had been peering out of the window was now pale white and gasping for breath. Beads of nervous sweat starting streaming down his face as he realized what was going to happen next. The bartender grinned and wheezed, the gap between his set of teeth creating a whistling sound as he did so. “Jack I can tell what’s going to happen next from the looks of your eyes. That’s the Spiral Pillar you see out there right? Heheh looks like the higher ups ordered a termination from Sky. This is it Jake, the face of death is right in front of us now. Nothin to do if you regret ever livin here.”
With that, a sonic boom erupted from the blue pillar of light, ripping up the space in the dark green pastures of grass outside. A jagged rip was left when one observed it from the heavens. It was that very sound that killed thousands of lives. That very rip that sucked up all evidence of a termination leaving only an unearthly silence behind. That very pillar of light that crushed the ground with its heat and circulated to become a blast of light that shined for miles like a lost star on Earth, marking the end of the termination.
